چکیده

While the well log-based lithology classi?cation has been extensively utilized in reservoir characterization, of carbonate sub-facies remains challenging due to subtle nuances conventional well-logs. The nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) log provides extra information pore size and geometry features, improving differentiating sub-facies. Here we explore feasibility using ratio between NMR longitudinal relaxation time transverse as a potential indicator determine We analyzed series logging data corresponding core samples Arbuckle Group containing mudstone, packstone, grainstone, incipient breccia, breccia northern Kansas for characteristics times, over ratios. results show that grainstone exhibit high, intermediate, low ratios, respectively, while have wide range Furthermore, evaluated ratios classify multivariate analysis. By adding neutron porosity, total gamma-ray, conductivity logs inputs automated facies classi?cation, prediction error decreased, especially breccia. On contrary, when photoelectric computed gamma-ray are also available, does not improve accuracy classi?cation. Our suggest is an independent indicator. However, it cannot replace other like classifying study provided valuable evidence credible elucidation importance physicochemical mechanism which essential deciphering reservoirs. 13C relaxation experiments for aromatic side chains employing longitudinal- and transverse-relaxation optimized NMR spectroscopy

Aromatic side chains are prevalent in protein binding sites, perform functional roles in enzymatic catalysis, and form an integral part of the hydrophobic core of proteins. Thus, it is of great interest to probe the conformational dynamics of aromatic side chains and its response to biologically relevant events. Indeed, measurements of (13)C relaxation rates in aromatic moieties have a long his...

NMR study of O transverse relaxation in YBa2Cu3(

NMR transverse relaxation (TR) measurements of 17O in the O(2,3) sites of YBa2Cu3( O1−c Oc)7 are presented. A Gaussian-like relaxation is found. The origin of this relaxation is investigated by varying the isotopic concentration of the oxygen, the temperature, the external field, and by comparing it with the O(4) site. Our results are consistent with a model in which this relaxation is caused b...

Interference between transverse cross-correlated relaxation and longitudinal relaxation affects apparent J-coupling and transverse cross-correlated relaxation

The apparent value of the measured J-coupling is affected by transverse cross-correlated relaxation between dipolar interaction and chemical shift anisotropy. This effect counteracts the decrease in the apparent value of J resulting from self-decoupling caused by longitudinal relaxation, thereby bringing the measured J-coupling closer to its true value. In addition to the dynamic frequency shif...

Transverse relaxation optimized triple-resonance NMR experiments for nucleic acids.

Triple resonance HCN and HCNCH experiments are reliable methods of establishing sugar-to-base connectivity in the NMR spectra of isotopicaly labeled oligonucleotides. However, with larger molecules the sensitivity of the experiments is drastically reduced due to relaxation processes. Since the polarization transfer between 13C and 15N nuclei relies on rather small heteronuclear coupling constan...

Climatic elements, discharge and groundwater trends over time using Mann-Kendall Test in the Mighan Sub-basin of Arak

This study was an analytical research across 84 meteorological stations, performed in the Mighan sub-basin over a fifty-year study period (1961–2011).This research seeks to answer the basic question of how declining streamflow, increasing temperatures, and fluctuation in precipitation have impacted water resource allocation in the Mighan sub-basin. The research method is analytical based on Man...
